Ahmed has 30 Years of banking and Islamic banking experience. He is highly technical Islamic finance professional possess vast experience in Shariah audit and compliance with ability to structure sophisticated Islamic finance solutions for all banking business including retail, treasury, corporate and investment. Ahmed is well aware of and fully up-dated on all the new developments in different Shariah standard committees like AAOIFI, IFSB, Fiqh Academy etc. Ahmed’s area of expertise includes Shariah supervision, audit and compliance, Shariah structuring & innovative solutions, and finance & Accounting and Investments.

Ahmed has served in a number of banks including Al Hilal bank (UAE), Dubai Islamic Bank (UAE), Mashreq Bank (UAE) and Port Said National Bank for Development (Egypt). He obtained his Bachelor of Accounting from University of Science and Commerce, Port Said, Egypt. In addition, Ahmed is a Certified Shariah Advisor & Auditor (CSAA), AAOIFI, since 2006; and Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA), AAOFI, since 2007; and was member of Islamic Banks Committee (IBC), UAE and member of Shariah Screening Committee, UAE.
